Books from Benedictine College Library’s Special Collection Featured at Local Conference

Medieval manuscripts and books from the special collections of Benedictine College, Mount Saint Scholastica Monastery and Conception Abbey, and St. John’s University are being featured at “Desire for the Medieval Past: Book Collecting in Midwestern Monastic Libraries.” They will be on display at the Miller Nichols Library at UMKC from June 1 to June 30.  This event is being held within the context of an international conference, “Nun’s Literacies in Medieval Europe.”

Books from the Benedictine Tradition

Recently, Matthew  Heintzelman, Ph.D , Curator, Austria/Germany Study Center; Rare Book Cataloger Hill Museum & Manuscript Library (HMML)at Saint John’s University in Collegeville, Minnesota shared some links to historical books on his blog and other sites.
